Here in Aotearoa, the Kaimanawa Wild Horse is one of few introduced animals we have adopted as our own, protected and nurtured wild in the harsh lands of the central North Island.

Here is the true essence of these magnificent animals: a gentleness of spirit, warmth of friendship, loyalty to family, joy in life and an inherent toughness of spirit.
